Resin Fillings: White fillings are the material of choice for small cavities and replacement of small silver fillings. The modern technology of dental adhesion allows us to perform placement of these fillings in very short visits. They mimic natural tooth structure so well that many times it is difficult to detect the difference. They are beautiful, mercury free, and rival their silver counterpart in strength, wear, and function. The longevity of these fillings is typically five to ten years.
Hygiene: Our hygienists perform routine cleanings and deep cleanings in order to maintain a good hygiene level free of plaque, stains, and tartar. They implement the latest technologies, ranging from ultrasonic scalers to localized antibiotics, to achieve optimal health of the gums. They are meticulous and gentle and will customize a hygiene regimen for your individual needs utilizing various adjunctive devices that will help you achieve your oral hygiene goals.
Exams: Our doctors will complete a thorough examination as a new patient to our office. We will address your major concerns and using adjunctive devices such as x-rays, digital photos, and intraoral photos, customize a treatment plan that best fits your overall goals. Periodic examinations are performed every six months as you present for your cleanings.
Night Guards: We use the NTI Nightguard, a small plastic device filled with acrylic to form to the upper front teeth while the lower front teeth rest on the Nightguard from below. The NTI, unlike traditional Nightguards, keeps your back teeth from touching - the teeth are open in the back about 1.5 mm. Because of the abstinence of posterior teeth contacting, it prevents grinding, clenching and other parafunctional activity from going on, thus allowing for more restful muscles. It is much smaller than the traditional full mouth Nightguard allowing for more comfortability.
